Rambo's Ridge Rules

• Be kind and decent to everyone, staff included.
• If someone is bothering you, don't fight back. Use /ignore and report them.
• If a player has blocked you, leave them alone. Don't reach out to them another way.
• Arguing or getting even only makes it worse. Report it or walk away.
• Reports go to staff in game or through a Discord ticket.
• Anything sensitive, or a problem with a staff member, goes in a private Management Ticket.

• Any topic is fine in private chat as long as the other person is comfortable with it. Stop if they ask.

• One ad every 30 minutes, per player and per location.
• Only post official or partnered links.
• No long all-caps messages or nonstop caps. A short all-caps message now and then is fine.
• Don't send the same (or nearly the same) message over and over.
• No random keyboard-mash messages.
• Don't use obfuscated, underlined, or hard-to-read chat colors (like very dark shades). Bold and italics are fine.

• Public chat must be in English so staff can moderate it.

• Found a bug or exploit (like duping)? Don't use it. Report it to staff. Reports can earn a reward depending on how serious the bug is.

You have to be controlling your character yourself at all times.

Farms

Job Activity

When you're working a job, you should look like a real player: moving, aiming, swapping tools, and answering chat.

• Using items the way they're meant to be used, including items with cooldowns, is fine.
• Repetitive work is fine if you're still swapping tools, looking around, and reacting to what happens.
• Doing the exact same action for long stretches with no variation isn't allowed.
• Patterns simple enough for a basic script to copy aren't allowed.

Litematica

• Careful with auto-swap features: they can use up your Infinite Blocks.

• Don't steal, break, or change anything inside someone else's claim.
• Basically, if it's unclaimed, it's free game.
• Wrecking large areas of the map counts as griefing.
• Lava casting isn't allowed.
• Don't fill other players' inventories with junk, especially during crates or events. That includes crate items that hand items to others.

Resource World

• Claims are turned off there.
• Anything left unattended counts as abandoned and is free to take.
• Destructive harvesting is fine.
• Farms, builds, and valuables left there are at your own risk.

• Don't claim or build within 100 blocks of someone else's claim without their OK. Builds that break this may be moved.
• Claiming extra land around your build for future plans is fine.
• Claims should be in use, planned out, reasonably built up, or hold something of value.
• No thin strips, claim lines, or odd-shaped claims meant to block off land.
• Don't use tiny claims to abuse the 100-block buffer.
• No trespassing after you've been asked to leave.
• Report a claim that breaks the rules early. After a few weeks, staff may leave it in place.

Placeholder Claims

Keep them small and temporary, use them rarely, and show some progress expanding them before long.

Removing Inactive Claims

• You need a good reason, like the claim sitting too close to yours or blocking you from expanding.
• Bigger, more developed claims need to be inactive longer before they're removed.
• You can't ask to take over someone's build or items.

• Both players have to agree to a fight, and stick to any rules you agree on.
• Don't trick or lure players into PvP.
• Don't attack into a PvP zone from outside it, like from spectator stands.
• If you hit someone first, they're allowed to fight back. Reporting is the better choice.
• Items that hurt players in safe zones like spawn count as unwanted PvP or griefing.

• Don't rename items to pass them off as something else.
• Don't lie about what something is worth.
• Don't wildly overcharge or underpay players who don't know prices, like new players.
• Selling in-game items or money for real money or real-world goods isn't allowed.
• Low-balling and high-balling are fine. Know what your items are worth; if you're not sure, don't trade.
• You can trade in-game items or money for someone to buy you a rank or keys from the store.
• You can trade in-game items or money for digital goods like resource packs, art, skins, or schematics. Keep it fair; the risk is yours.

• No troll or useless player warps, auction listings, or chest shops.
• You can pay people to rate your own shop, but not other shops. Don't rate with alts.
• Don't advertise shops or warps in /ah unless it's part of a real listing.
• No ads in or near someone else's shop without permission.
• Only put shops on claims you have permission on.
• Don't name a warp almost the same as one of your existing warps.
• Don't pad warp names with symbols to push them up in search.
• Crate items tagged as unmodifiable can't be renamed, upgraded, or enchanted. Items meant to be modified (like unbreakable tools) are fine.
• Portal mob farms aren't allowed.
• Mods or resource packs that let you see through lava are fine.

Job & Money Exploits

Making money in ways that weren't intended counts as exploiting. That includes:

• Getting hunter job pay from anything but your own attacks (no thorns or AFK kills)
• Turning spawner mobs into mobs that pay out for jobs
• Placing and re-breaking blocks to get around block protection for job pay
• Getting around item cooldowns, including by passing items to other players

Inactive Shops & Warps

• Player warps are deleted after 6 months of inactivity.
• Accidentally modified a crate item? Contact support for a replacement.

• Building from schematics, including map art, is allowed.
• You need the original builder's permission to resell their map art.
• Map art has to be claimed. Builds left unclaimed on purpose count as abandoned.

An auction starts at a base price and players bid it up. They can run on Discord or in game.

• Post the rules before you start, including start and end times and the minimum bid increase.
• Only one auction can run in game at a time.
• Fake bids, or backing out of a bid, are punishable.
• Don't cancel or stall an auction (for example, because you don't like the top bid).
• No troll or spam auctions.
• Don't change the rules partway through.

Loans of items, money, or services are at your own risk. Staff will try to help get things back, but can't promise to recover everything.

• Loan terms have to be reasonable and in proportion. No predatory loans.
• Don't keep piling on interest for a loan the borrower can't repay.

Protect Yourself

• Take collateral, stay in touch, and check in on the borrower.
• Give the borrower an easy way to pay you back, even while you're offline.
• Keep proof of the deal. Screenshots work great.
• Avoid lending to brand-new players or anyone who doesn't understand the deal.
• Don't lend huge amounts to one player, and be careful selling on credit.

Alt accounts are allowed, with these limits:

• You can have up to 2 alt accounts.
• Alts are only allowed online while the server is under half full. Log them off once it reaches half capacity.
• Only work on one account at a time. Waiting on an item cooldown counts as working.
• Don't claim starter money or claim blocks on alts.
• No alt job furnaces or alt quests.
• Don't use accounts you don't own.

• Don't moderate other players for staff, especially when staff are already handling it.
• It's fine if a staff member asks you to help.
• Reminding someone of a rule is okay. Otherwise, open a ticket or find a staff member.
• Pointing out staff who are in vanish counts as interfering.

• Joining on another account while banned leads to a harsher punishment.
• If you're muted, don't talk through signs or books.
• Talking off the server (like in a Discord call) is fine.

• VPNs are allowed, at your own risk.
• Your IP is logged every time you join. A VPN address can link your account to a banned player.
• We recommend not using one.

• Make machines as useful and efficient as you can to avoid extra lag.
• Machines that run constantly without producing anything useful should be switched off when you're not using them.
